Keynote Speaker

Howard Marks is the co-founder and CEO of Gamzee, a social mobile games company. He is also the co-chair of StartEngine, the largest startup accelerator in Los Angeles. Marks was the founder and CEO of Acclaim Games, and a co-founder of Activision. Marks received his B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Ceremonial Opener

Vijay K. Dhir, distinguished professor and Dean of UCLA’s Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science has worked to make UCLA Engineering a hub for interdisciplinary research and education. His efforts have brought more than $150 million dollars to southern California to spur research and development in emerging technologies. Dhir received his Bachelor of Science from Punjab Engineering College, his Master of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, and  his Ph.D. from the University of Kentucky.

Idea2Venture Seminar Speaker

George T. Geis teaches at UCLA Anderson in the areas of mergers & acquisitions, financial modeling, venture initiation, and accounting. He is currently Faculty Director of Anderson’s Mergers and Acquisitions Executive program. Geis received his B.S. in Mathematics from Purdue University, an M.B.A. from UCLA, and a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California.
