The Technical Entrepreneurial Community (TEC) and the Engineering Graduate Student Association (EGSA) present an entrepreneurship seminar on market segmentation featuring Prof. Bob Foster, a distinguished professor in the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Prof. Foster will discuss how to define and segment target markets, gauging the competition, and winning strategies that maximize resources. This seminar will also provide information about niche markets, and what it means to be a be a big fish in a small pond.

The UCLA Anderson Entrepreneur Association is hosting “Spotlight: LA Tech”, a tech startup showcase event, with TechZulu. A number of LA tech startups are presenting their products in 5-minute demos. We will also have Dan Gould from Namesake as our keynote speaker.

“Spotlight: LA Tech” is a great way for students and alums to interact with successful entrepreneurs and technologists in the LA startup community. Grand Challenges Explorations fosters innovation in global health research. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has committed $100 million to encourage scientists worldwide to expand the pipeline of ideas to fight our greatest health challenges.
