TEC believes that everyone with the drive to turn a technology into a strong and commercially viable company should be given a chance. We make your transition from idea to reality more realizable. TEC will strive to help you to:

  1. Imagine: TEC creates an environment where students can share their technical expertise to develop ideas into technologies with the potential to mature into businesses.
  2. Learn: TEC provides the platform for the technical community to learn about business practices and for the funding world to learn about investment opportunities at UCLA.
  3. Connect: TEC believes that establishing the connections between the right people is essential to the success of start-ups.
  4. Communicate: TEC serves as the liaison between students and UCLA policymakers to create a helpful environment which facilitates technology transfer and start-up formation.
  5. Improve: TEC helps alumni who have started businesses to maintain communication with promising new graduates and to play a role in the education of the next generation of TEC members.

Who is TEC?
TEC strives to create a strong culture of entrepreneurship within the technical community at UCLA by bridging the gap between interested students, faculty, alumni, and administrators. TEC serves as a link between the university and external funding sources to make the dreams of the UCLA technical entrepreneur a reality.
